Right to Withdraw From Treatment

Either the patient or the provider may choose to discontinue the treatment relationship when clinically or professionally appropriate.

If a provider determines that withdrawal from treatment is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to:

  1. Provide appropriate referrals when possible
  2. Offer limited emergency coverage for a reasonable transition period when clinically appropriate
  3. Ensure continuity of care within applicable legal and ethical guidelines

Patients are encouraged to maintain respectful communication and compliance with treatment recommendations to help support an effective therapeutic relationship.
