Court Testimony & Legal Proceedings

If a provider is subpoenaed or requested to participate in legal proceedings, including but not limited to custody cases, disability matters, litigation, or court appearances, the patient requesting or associated with the legal action will be financially responsible for all related costs, even if requested by an opposing party.

Applicable charges may include:

• Travel expenses
• Hourly or per diem provider fees
• Preparation time
• Record review time
• Court appearance time

Fees are based on the provider’s current rates from the time the provider leaves the office until return. A minimum of 50% of estimated fees may be required in advance prior to any court appearance or legal involvement.

Please note that participation in legal matters is at the sole discretion of the provider unless legally mandated.
