Right to Withdraw From Treatment
Either the patient or the provider may choose to discontinue the treatment relationship when clinically or professionally appropriate.
If a provider determines that withdrawal from treatment is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to:
- Provide appropriate referrals when possible
- Offer limited emergency coverage for a reasonable transition period when clinically appropriate
- Ensure continuity of care within applicable legal and ethical guidelines
Patients are encouraged to maintain respectful communication and compliance with treatment recommendations to help support an effective therapeutic relationship.
