Please note that prior authorizations required by insurance companies are not guaranteed and are ultimately determined by your insurance carrier.
While our office makes reasonable efforts to submit prior authorization requests when clinically appropriate, approval timelines vary by insurance plan and may take several business days or longer.
Patients are responsible for:
- Confirming medication coverage with their insurance plan
- Following up with their pharmacy regarding authorization status
- Understanding that alternative medications may be required if coverage is denied
Medication interruptions due to insurance denials, pharmacy stock issues, or delayed prior authorizations are outside the control of the office.
